How We Review: Our Published Methodology

A methodology page is a promise about process. S5CASINO is an independent guide, not a casino: it takes no deposits, runs no games and pays out nothing. When this site describes an operator, it follows the steps below. For readers aged 21+.

Reading order

  1. Footer and terms: who operates the site, under what licence.
  2. The regulator's published list: is that company on it?
  3. Cashier or payments page: channels and payees.
  4. Withdrawal and bonus terms: what is conditional on what.
  5. Help centre: verification requirements and timing.
  6. Complaints and responsible-gaming pages.
  7. Contact page and any app instructions.

The order matters. If the first two steps fail, the remainder is reported briefly, because a reader's decision is already made. An operator that cannot be tied to a licensed company gives a player nobody to hold to account, and no amount of polish further down the page changes that.

What is verified and what is only reported

Licensing can be cross-checked against the regulator's list, and that check is dated. Everything else is reported as the operator's own published statement. This site has not opened accounts to measure anything and does not say it has. Where a page here uses the phrase 'the operator states', read it literally: the statement exists, and its truth in practice has not been established by this site.

Deliberate omissions

Payout times, fees, minimum and maximum amounts and bonus figures for specific operators are left out. They are set by the operator and change, so check its cashier page. General explanations, such as how decimal odds convert to probability or that InstaPay is real-time with a per-transaction cap while PESONet runs in batches on banking days, are given because they are true everywhere.

No scoring

No points, stars, percentages or ordered lists are used. Each criterion is described in words. A score would hide the fact that the criteria are not equal: a missing licence disclosure cannot be offset by a well-written bonus page, and averaging the two would produce a comfortable-looking number that misleads.

Some links may be partner links that can generate a commission for this site. No operator can pay to change wording, to gain a mention, or to have a negative finding dropped. The partner-link arrangement is disclosed here so that readers can factor it in for themselves.

Maintenance

Pages show a modified date. If you find that an operator's current pages contradict a description here, trust the operator's pages for what applies to you, and reconsider depositing if the licensee can no longer be identified. The seven criteria are usable without this site, and applying them yourself before a first deposit is the best use of this page.
